Godwins Music provides entertainment and event services including DJs, live musicians, specialty performers and AV production (sound & lighting) for venues, corporate events, weddings and private functions.
By engaging Godwins Music, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
A booking is confirmed once a written agreement has been issued and booking details have been agreed between both parties.
Deposit requirements and payment schedules will be discussed during the booking process and confirmed prior to securing your event date.
Final balances must be paid according to the agreed payment terms unless otherwise arranged.
Godwins Music reserves the right to release a booking if payment terms are not met, and the client will be notified if this occurs.
If an event is cancelled, any payments made may be non-refundable depending on the stage of the booking and commitments made to performers and equipment.
Where possible, rescheduling may be offered subject to performer availability.
Godwins Music is not liable for cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control including extreme weather, venue closures, government restrictions, illness, or other unforeseen events. In these situations we will always do our best to work with clients to find a suitable solution where possible, however this cannot always be guaranteed.
Godwins Music works with a curated roster of experienced performers.
In the unlikely event that a booked performer becomes unavailable due to illness, emergency or unforeseen circumstances, Godwins Music will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement with a similar style and vibe appropriate for the event.
The client agrees to provide:
Godwins Music reserves the right to refuse performance if conditions are considered unsafe.
Where sound and lighting equipment is supplied:
Godwins Music is more than happy to work alongside in-house AV suppliers at larger venues where required.
Performance times are agreed in advance.
Additional performance time requested on the day is subject to performer availability and may incur additional fees upon discussion.
Delays to event schedules, venue access, bump-in times or soundcheck caused by the venue, event organisers or other suppliers may impact setup and performance time.
Where delays occur, Godwins Music will do its best to accommodate adjustments where possible. However, performance durations may be reduced or additional fees may apply if extended time is required.
Clients should be aware that some venues operate under strict sound restrictions due to council regulations or venue policies.
Where this applies, performers will need to comply with the venue’s sound limits and any directions given by venue management. These requirements may affect volume levels and the overall sound output during the event.
Clients are welcome to provide a selection of favourite songs, artists or a general music direction to help guide the performance.
Spotify playlists may be used as inspiration, though it may not be possible to guarantee access to every track.
Where possible, music requests should be supplied in advance. DJs will generally have a phone adaptor available if a special or obscure request needs to be played during the event.
Please note that certain song requests may not always be suitable depending on the style of the venue or if other functions are taking place within the same space. In these situations performers may use discretion to maintain the overall atmosphere of the venue.
This may be less of a concern for private events or full venue bookings where the space is not shared.
For events outside standard service areas, including regional or interstate locations, travel and accommodation requirements may apply and will be discussed during the booking process.
Godwins Music maintains appropriate insurance coverage where required.
Godwins Music is not responsible for circumstances beyond reasonable control including venue restrictions, power failures, weather conditions or guest conduct.
Godwins Music may capture photos or short video clips during events for social media or promotional purposes.
Clients are welcome to let us know if they would prefer that images not be used publicly or if specific images should not be shared.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.
